Parishioners Stage a Silent Protest in Solidarity with Victims of Manipur Violence
As a mark of honour to the victims of the violence in Manipur and as resistance against the atrocities that still persist in the region, the parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail, staged a silent protest outside the church compound on 23 July, 2023 after the 7AM mass. This silent protest was an initiative led by the Catholic Sabha members to demonstrate their solidarity with the victims of violence in Manipur. Despite the incessant rainfall, the parishioners along with Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis and Rev.Fr.Kevin Lawrence participated in the 10 minute silent protest.
