Kids Sunday School Back

IN THE ARMS OF JESUS

The kids of our parish await the last Sunday of every month. On this day they learn a little more about Jesus through fun-filled action songs, skits, hymns and bible stories. This programme is specially conducted for tiny tots upto IIIrd standard.

The theme for this month was ‘Miracle of Jesus-Wedding at Cana’.The kids were led into a prayerful mood through a bhajan.Fr.Vinod spent a few minutes interacting with the kids.Then it was time for some action songs ‘Jesus amcho mogal superstar’ and ‘haath ubarooya’.The kids were then introduced to the days theme through a short animated film which the kids watched with rapt attention.The kids were then entertained with a skit ‘Maka maryecho ugdaas yetha’ enacted by YSD volunteers which signified the role of Mother Mary in the ‘Miracle at Cana’ and our lives.The room was filled with peals of laughter and the kids thouroughly enjoyed it.And then the kids were made to pray for their friends,family and teachers.The programme then culminated with a hymn while Fr.Vinod blessed each and every kid present.

This programme which is conducted for an hour on the last Sunday of every month at 9:15am was the brain child of Fr.Peter D’Souza,former APP Fr.Edwin Monis,Mr.Anil Patrao and Mrs.Pramila D’Costa.This year Fr.Vinod Lobo and Mrs.Carmelita D’Souza have been roped in.The team who lend their support include Denora Fernandes,Maizy Fernandes,Jennifer Pinto and Jonita D’Souza and were joined this Sunday by Ivy D’Souza,Bhavya Lobo and Malcon Rego.

This programme focuses on grooming the kids with Christian values and increasing their love and faith in Jesus.
