Catechism Day Celebrations Back

The Most Holy Redeemer Church celebrated Catechism day beginning with a thanksgiving mass celebrated by Dr.Fr.Peter D’Souza and the co-celebrants, Fr.Vinod Lobo and Fr. Clifford. An enthusiastic participation by the teachers and the children made the Eucharistic celebrations a solemn one.

The mass was followed by the cultural celebrations. Rev.Fr.Vinod Lobo, Asst. Parish priest introduced to the gathering the significance of the day. The children of all the classes gave a captivating performance with a blend of prayer dance and an aroma of spiritual plays depicting the biblical episodes.

A flavor of value based skits, dance plays and action songs by tiny tots added an energetic effervescence to the occasion.

A glimpses of the reflection of catechism classes conducted was shared by Ms.Vinita D’Souza, a student of tenth standard, and by Mrs.Dora D’Cunha, teacher.

The program sequenced the felicitation for all the catechism teachers for their whole hearted services. The children were distributed prizes for securing highest marks in the exam, preparation of album and full attendance.

Rev.Fr.Peter D’Souza, Parish Priest, in his presidential address expressed his encouraging words and support to the children.

Sri Edward Coelho, Catechism Co-ordinator proposed the vote of thanks. As a token of spiritual motivation, a Bible, sponsored by Sri Francis Concessao was offered to all children and teachers. The programme was mastered by Mrs.Sharmila. L. Mascarenhas.
