Baal Derebail 2017 Back

The youth CLC of Most Holy Redeemer Church had organized a contest for the little children of Derebail called ‘Baal Derebail’17. The venue for this event was the Holy Family School Grounds. 22 Children of the age group 3-6 years participated in the contest. The programme began at 5:45pm with a prayer song led by the Childrens’ choir. Ms.Runa Veigas the programme coordinator welcomed everyone. Fr.Austin Peres the President of the event, Fr.Gratian Alvares the Chief guest, Mr.Edward Coelho Vice-president of the Parish council, Mrs.Lizzie Fernandes Secretary of the Parish council, Mr.Ullas D’Costa CLC president of Mangalore diocese and animator of Youth CLC Derebail, Mr.Gerald Concessao the Senior CLC President and Animator of Youth CLC Derebail along with Denzil.E.Pinto President of youth CLC and  Velzen Fernandes, programme coordinator inaugurated the programme. Fr.Gratian Alvares addressed the gathering. Fr.Austin Peres felicitated the sponsors of the event. Ms.Renisha Suares hosted the inaugural ceremony.

The contest comprised of three rounds. Mr.Sheldon Crasta compered the contest. In the first round the interactive skills of the children were put to test. The second round was the audio-visual round. The Final round of the contest expected the contestants to sing a song, say a prayer and dance to the given music. Various group and individual performances by youth of the parish kept the audience lively till the end. A lucky Draw was also held in between the programme. Velzen Fernandes the programme coordinator delivered the Vote of Thanks.

1st Runner-Up: Reeva Ashlin Sequeira

2nd Runner-Up: Riva Jenilia D’silva

Consolation prizes: Melora Ria Lobo

                                    Priyal Gabriella Concessao

All the participants were given Certificates and Mementos. The Programme ended with Baila dance at around 10:15 pm. ‘Baal Derebail’17’ was truly one of the best platforms for all the kids to exhibit their talents.
