10 Years of Derebail Parish Website: Reflecting on a Decade of Connection and Creativity

Celebrating a journey of ten years, countless stories and infinite possibilities: Derebail Parish Website is Ten Years Old

As we commemorate the significant milestone of the Derebail Parish Website completing 10 years, we pause to reflect, assess, and rejoice in our accomplishments. The revamped edition of our parish website, www.derebailchurch.com, was introduced on March 30, 2014, under the capable guidance of the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Peter Dsouza and the Associate Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Edwin Monis. The team behind the website’s launch comprised highly skilled and service-oriented parishioners who pooled their intellectual prowess, vision, and dedication to redefine the platform through which the church engaged and connected with its parishioners.

This became especially evident during the challenging times brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, when the world came to a halt and physical distances grew. In these trying times, the parish website emerged as a robust tool that sustained the fervour of prayer among parishioners through the broadcast of daily masses.

Additionally, the introduction of the Parishioners' Corner—a dedicated section showcasing the talents of parishioners—sparked creativity and encouraged individuals of all ages to share their ideas, artwork, music, and literature with fellow parishioners worldwide. Throughout this transformative period, parishioners from across the globe came together, contributing their artistic talents to the website and maintaining active connections with the parish community.

As we mark this milestone, our website's responsibilities have broadened, our team has grown and adapted, and our workflow has accelerated, particularly in broadcasting through our official website number. While our primary goal remains serving the parish with utmost dedication, we acknowledge that your feedback and encouragement are invaluable in our continuous growth. We invite your suggestions and praise to propel us forward, enabling us to enhance our services and  to cater to your needs. Support us in our endeavour so that we can serve you better.

Ten is just the beginning. We have a long way to go.

Today we are grateful
