SCC Training Program Back

There is no more effective way of growing in your faith than to be part of a Small Christian Community where that faith is shared, listened to and celebrated. Small Christian community (SCC) is a wonderful way to articulate the connections between faith and life.

Coming together a small Christian community provides mutual support, builds healthy relationship and empowers members to grow in faith as well as have greater belonging to the parish.

To achieve the Motto of SCC that is “To build a kingdom in our neighborhood”, training was held on 13th November 2016 at 4.00 pm in our church hall. Around 200 members were benefited by this training .The resource person for the days were Rev Fr. Walter D’souza and Mr. William Colaco.

Mr. Colaco elicited information regarding the doubts, difficulties and the benefits they have gained due to the ward meetings.  Rev Fr. Walter enlightened us to build up strong Christian communities by sharing the word of God and thus form a better relationship with one another. He also advised to adhere the 19 steps and follow them in their respective wards.

A short message was delivered by Rev Fr. Austin encouraging the parishioners to attend the meeting with family and to celebrate ward feast at least once a year. He also appreciated the active participation taken by YSD, YCS and CLC youth.

The training was concluded by proposing the vote of thanks by Mrs.  Lizze Fernandes.
