Monthi Fest At Konchady II Ward

The members of Konchady II ward celebrated Monthi fest as one big family on 11 September, 2022 at the residence of gurkar Mrs Meena and Mr Stephan Lobo. 

At 12.30 pm Parish Priest Rev.Fr. Joseph Martis , Rev Fr Gerald Pinto and Br.Vikas Pereira were welcomed for the celebration . The programme started with a short prayer service led by Mrs. Ivy Concessao. All the ward members had Novem with coconut milk  as a sign of familial unity. Mrs Gladys Cornelio welcomed the gathering. The ward report was then presented by Mr Joy Pinto . A song titled “Vadyache Geeth” composed by Mr.Joseph Cornelio was sung by ward members.

The Ward members whose birthdays and anniversaries are in the month of September were called forward. They were greeted with a wishing song and a cake was cut.

Spot games were conducted by Mr Gerald Concessao to entertain the gathering. The winners received their prize from Rev.Fr. Joseph Martis . 

Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis congratulated the ward members for successfully organizing such a wonderful programme . Gurkar Mrs Meena Lobo proposed the vote of thanks .

Grace before meals were said and the priests blessed the food that was going to be savoured by the ward members.

The food that was served at the celebration was cooked by the ward members themselves.

The ward members thoroughly enjoyed the event with baila dance .
