Marian Month Devotion: Children Honour Mother Mary through Rosary and Holy Mass

The month of May, dedicated to Mother Mary, was observed with great devotion at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail. As part of this spiritual observance, a Holy Rosary was conducted by the children on 29th May 2026 at 5:30 p.m.in front of Mother Mary's Grotto.

The children actively participated in leading the Rosary, seeking the blessings of Mother Mary for their well-being and spiritual growth. The prayerful atmosphere created a sense of unity and devotion among all those present.

Following the Rosary, the Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis and Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris. The children of the parish entered the church for mass in a procession. This added to the significance of event. During the homily, Rev.Fr Joseph Martis, emphasized the importance of praying the Rosary. He reminded the faithful that the devotion to the Rosary should not end with the month of May, but should be continued throughout one's life until the very end.

The entire liturgy was led by the children. The melodious singing of the Children's Choir enhanced the prayerful atmosphere.
The event was a meaningful occasion that encouraged children and the faithful to grow closer to Mother Mary and deepen their faith. Overall, the service was conducted successfully and it offered to be a beautiful reminder of the importance of prayer and devotion.

Ice cream and cake was served to all the children  present.
