CLC Annual Retreat 2026

The Christian Life Community (CLC) Annual Retreat was successfully conducted on 7 June 2026 at Rishivana Retreat Centre, bringing together a total of 47 participants, comprising 30 Senior CLC members and 17 Youth CLC (Junior CLC) members.

The day commenced at 8:30 a.m. with the departure from the parish premises. Before setting out, all participants gathered in prayer, entrusting the retreat to God and seeking His blessings for a fruitful and spiritually enriching experience.

Upon arrival at the retreat centre, participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the surroundings before sharing a nourishing breakfast. The peaceful atmosphere of the centre provided an ideal setting for prayer, reflection, and fellowship.

The retreat began with an inspiring session led by Rev. Fr. Dominic Charles Vas, Director of Rishivana Retreat Centre. His reflection focused on the life and virtues of the Blessed Virgin Mary, highlighting her faith, humility, obedience, and significant role in God’s plan of salvation. The session deepened participants’ understanding of Marian spirituality and strengthened their devotion to Mother Mary.

This was followed by the Holy Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Rev. Fr. Movin Pereira, which served as the spiritual highlight of the day. The serene environment of the retreat centre enhanced the prayerful atmosphere, enabling participants to actively and devoutly participate in the celebration of the Holy Mass.

Following the Eucharist, participants enjoyed lunch and shared moments of fellowship. The afternoon session featured a talk on “The Eucharist and Personal Prayer” conducted by Rev. Fr. Fantinho Pereira. Through reflection and spiritual guidance, participants were encouraged to deepen their relationship with Christ in the Eucharist and strengthen their personal prayer life, placing greater trust in God’s love, mercy, and providence in their daily lives.

The retreat concluded with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This sacred hour offered participants a profound opportunity for silent prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal, allowing them to experience the presence of the Lord in a deeper and more personal way.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., the group departed from the retreat centre and proceeded to Someshwara Beach, Ullal, where participants enjoyed a period of recreation and fellowship. Various group activities were organized, creating moments of joy, bonding, and community spirit amidst the beautiful coastal surroundings.

The group returned safely to the parish premises at 7:15 p.m. The retreat was a resounding success, providing participants with spiritual enrichment, meaningful learning experiences, opportunities for prayer and reflection, and stronger bonds of fellowship within the CLC family. The day concluded with hearts renewed in faith and a deeper commitment to Christian service and community life.
