Barebail Lower Ward Members Visit Senior Citizens at Maroli
20 members of the Barebail Lower ward visited the home for the aged run by the Little Sisters of the Poor at Maroli on Sunday 12 February and spent couple of hours with them, which included evening tea with snacks followed by interactive singing, dancing and games.
Of the 65 resident seniors, around 50 of them who were able to walk, together with their caretakers and Sisters joined in this get-together. On their part, they too sang songs and danced. Ward members sang a variety of olden day songs for the listening pleasure of the seniors. Following the pleasantries and the entertainment, we joined them for the evening rosary and dedicated it for their good health and well-being.
The ward members had generously contributed for the evening snacks and also donated grocery items and cash. There were handed over to the Mother Superior of the convent.
It was a time of thanksgiving to the Almighty for all His blessings on all of us. It also turned out to be an enjoyable and memorable evening for everyone who participated.
