GOOD FRIDAY -Commemoration of Jesus Christ's Crucifixion and Passion

On the morning of Good Friday, a day when Jesus sacrificed himself to a cruel and painful death on the cross for the sins of humanity, the parishioners of Derebail gathered at 8 AM in the Church for prayer service. The service was led by the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis.

Four Psalms were sung from the Old Testament by the Congregation and the Choir aided the parishioners in coming closer to God.

The prayer service was followed by *Way of the Cross* which started at the Church Ground and culminated near the Church entrance.

The  parishioners - youth  and women - carried the statues of Jesus with the Cross and of Mother Mary closely following Him, on their shoulders  respectively.

The morning service ended around 10 AM with a concluding prayer by the Parish Priest.
