Annual Lenten Retreat 2026

The Annual Lenten Retreat was prayerfully conducted from 2nd March to 4th March, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail. The retreat was organized under the able guidance of Rev. Fr. Anil Alfred D’Souza, Parish Priest of St Jude Church Pakshikere, with the noble intention of spiritually preparing the faithful during the sacred season of Lent.

Each evening's programme  was deeply enriching and included Praise and Worship, insightful Scriptural reflections, Holy Mass, and Eucharistic Adoration. Centered on the theme of the prayer “Our Father,” Fr. Anil thoughtfully explained its profound meaning, helping the faithful reflect more deeply on its spiritual significance and relevance in daily Christian living.

The retreat fostered a serene and prayerful atmosphere that inspired repentance, inner healing, and spiritual renewal. A large number of parishioners  actively participated with devotion and enthusiasm. The church choir further enhanced the solemnity and devotion of the services through their melodious singing.

The Annual Lenten Retreat proved to be a grace filled and spiritually uplifting experience for the entire parish community. Through the inspiring leadership of Rev. Fr. Anil Alfred D’Souza, the faithful were strengthened in their journey of faith and better prepared to celebrate the joy of Easter with renewed commitment and devotion.

We thank God for the abundant blessings received and pray that the fruits of this retreat continue to deepen faith, foster unity, and strengthen our parish community in the days to come.
