Derebail Parish Welcomes Rev. Fr. Nelson Steevan Peris as their Assistant Parish Priest

A warm welcome was accorded to the new Assistant Parish Priest of Derebail Parish, Rev Fr Nelson Steevan Peris, by Rev Fr Joseph Martis the Parish Priest, Mrs Sheela Dsouza Vice President of PPC, Mr Denzil Pinto Secretary of PPC,  Mr Anil Patrao Coordinator of 21 Commissions and the parishioners at 4.30 PM. The Parish Priest along with the PPC Office Bearers welcomed him with a garland and a bouquet of flowers.

Fr Nelson Peris was accompanied by Fr John Baptist Crasta, Fr Avinash Lesly Pais, Fr Gilbert D'Souza, Fr Pramod Crasta and the inmates of St Anthony's Charity Institutes, Jeppu where Fr Nelson was serving as the Asst. Director.

Fr Nelson then walked the aisle to the Altar with the Choir singing the welcoming hymn. Fr Nelson read the Word of God and the reflection was delivered by Fr Joseph Martis.

The dignitaries Fr Joseph Martis, Fr John Baptist Crasta and Fr Nelson Peris were welcomed to the dias by Secretary Mr Denzil Pinto.

Fr Joseph Martis welcomed the gathering. Fr J.B. Crasta spoke a few words after which Fr Nelson expressed his gratitude to the priests and people who accompanied him.

The ceremony concluded with a hymn and refreshments were served.
