Derebail Sports Club Organises Sports Day for Parishioners.

The Sports Club of the Most Holy Redeemer organised Sports Day for Derebail Parishioners on Sunday, 13th October 2024.

The event, organised on 8th September was rescheduled to 13th October due to heavy rains.

The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis; President of Derebail Sports Club, Mr. Sandesh Mascarenhas, Secretary
Mrs. Lydia Costa, Treasurer Mr.Lionel Saldanha and members  of Sports club graced the event.

Mrs. Pramila Furtado  welcomed the gathering. With the assistance of her fellow members, she also conducted games for children from LKG to Degree. 

A special throwball tournament was conducted for women. 2 teams took part in this event and the team under the captaincy of  Mrs.Teena emerged as Winners and Mrs. Leera and her team bagged the Runners up prize. 

The men participated in the Volley Ball Tournament. 3 teams participated. The team captained by Mr. Rowin emerged as Winners and  Mr.Harry Vas's team emerged as Runners up.

Mr.Roshan Fernandes was the winner in the pot breaking event.

The dignitaries present distributed the prizes. Mr. Arun Pinto rendered the Vote of thanks.

The smile  and energy  on everyones faces kept the event  going, making it a grand success.
