Catholic Sabha City Varado Annual Elocution Competition 2021

The Varado Level Catholic Sabha  Mangalore Pradesh Annual Elocution Competition was held at Derebail Church Meeting Hall on Sunday, 28th November,  2021.

The competition was held in the high school and PUC and above  categories in Konkani and Kannada languages  respectively.  

The programme started with an invocation hymn.  The Varado Competition Convener Ms. Dora D'Cunha, Secretary, Derebail unit,  welcomed the gathering and read the rules.  

In all, 38 contestants from 7 City Varado parishes participated in the competition.  

In the Valedictory Ceremony,  Mr. Wilfred Alvares,  President welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Austin Peris, Parish Priest gave away the prizes and addressed the gathering.  Mr. Felix Moras, Secretary, City Varado proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Dora D'Cunha,  Competition Convener,  
Ms. Sheela D'Souza,  Vice President, Parish Pastoral Council and Mr. Patrick D'Souza, Central Convener were the guests of honour.

The programme ended with a thanksgiving hymn. Coffee and snacks  were served to all present.  

Ms.  Preema D'Souza, Highway ward of Derebail Parish secured the first place in the PUC and above category and qualified for the Diocese Level Competition,  which will be held on the 3rd Sunday of December.
