Environment Cleanliness Drive by Parisar Aayog , Derebail Parish Mangalore

Under the title Parisar Swach Abhiyan, Parisar Aayog, Derebail, in collaboration with Catholic Sabha, Christian Life Community-Youth, Seniors, and Yuva Spandan (YSD), organised a cleanliness drive around the Derebail Church grounds between 8 and 10 a.m. on April 09, 2022. The campaign was launched by Parish Preist Rev.Fr Austin Peres, Mr Louis J Pinto Diocesan Environment Commission Secretary, Mr. Shashidhar Hegde and Mrs Ranjini Kotian local corporator, Rev Fr Gerald Pinto, Mrs Sheela Dsouza vice president PPC, Mr Gaulbert Pais secretary, PPC, and Mr Edward Coelho coordinator of parish commission were the guest.
Mr. Jeevan Miranda, convenor of Parisar Aayog, welcomed everyone to the gathering.Mr. Louis J Pinto, Chief Guest, in his brief message asked the audience to change people's thinking and instil the habit of not engaging in ecologically detrimental behaviours. Rev. Fr. Austin Peres praised the convenor and members of Parisar Aayog for organising the drive and blessed the gathering in his invocation speech. Ms. Mary Rodrigues, the aayog's Secretary, expressed gratitude to the current members of the aayog as well as numerous associations.
Around 50 people from various organisations and parishioners participated in the campaign, resulting in a successful cleaning effort that communicated a strong message about the significance of environmental protection. Snacks and soft drinks were distributed to those who took part in the promotion.
