A Eucharistic Adoration for the Youth at Derebail Church

A Profound Evening of Spiritual Reflection and Hope On the evening of September 22nd 2023, an uplifting and spiritually enriching event unfolded at the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail on the account of Drug-awareness month.

This significant gathering, a Eucharistic adoration, was thoughtfully organized to cater to the spiritual needs and aspirations of the youth by the Youth Commission.

The Eucharistic celebration followed by adoration spanned from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm carried with it a profound purpose that resonated deeply with the hearts and souls of the youth and parishioners.

The main purpose of this moving adoration was to earnestly pray for the youth who have found themselves trapped in the dark clutches of drug abuse. Additionally, it sought divine intervention and guidance for a brighter and more promising future for the youth.

Approximately 130 youth  of the Parish graced this adoration with their presence. They gathered with a shared sense of purpose, united in their desire to break free from the shackles of addiction and to embrace a path towards a more fulfilling and prosperous life.

Each youth was called to the altar near the Blessed Sacrament, where they were entrusted with a candle, symbolizing the light of faith and the hope of redemption. Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, the Vicar guiding the spiritual presence of the evening, offered his heartfelt prayers for the youth. His words resonated with empathy and understanding, providing solace and strength to those who have struggled with the challenges of addiction.

Rev. Fr. Kevin D'Souza was the main celebrant of the Eucharistic celebration and the youth choir, comprised of the talented young voices from the parish, played a  role in enhancing the spiritual atmosphere.

As the hour of adoration came to an end, a sense of peace and joy enveloped the hearts and faces of parishioners. The youth were filled with illuminated spirit and a  renewed sense of hope and determination.
