19 Children Receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion at Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail
19 children of Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail welcomed Jesus into their hearts in the form of bread and wine on 1st May, 2022.
The preparation for this important day began with little children attending special Catechism classes. Mrs. Dora D'cunha along with Mrs. Pramila Furtado trained the little children and prepared them well for their special day.
The Eucharistic Celebration began at 9AM. Rev. Fr. Austin Peter Peres and Rev.Fr. Gerald Pinto offered the mass.
In his Homily Fr.Austin Peres highlighted the significance of Eucharist in christian upbringing and congratulated the little children and their parents for preparing themselves spiritually for this day.
The entire liturgy was led by the communicants. The choir added to the solemnity of the service.
The Parish Priest Rev.Fr.Austin Peres thanked all those who had contributed in their own way for the success of this Blessed Service.
The communicants later received a certificate, rosary and scapular. The Vice President Mrs Sheela D'Souza and the Secretary of PPC Mr. Gaulbert Pais graced the occasion with their presence and prayers.
