Landlinks Ward Elects Mrs. Elizabeth Pereira as its New Gurkar

On the completion of Mr. Valerian Mascarenhas' term as the Gurkar of Landlinks Ward an election was scheduled on 17 November 2024. The Ward meeting commenced at 6pm at the residence of Mr and Mrs. L. R. Vijayan. The election was conducted after the meeting.

Mr. Melwyn Vijayan extended a warm welcome to Rev.Fr. Kevin D'souza, Associate Parish Priest and all the ward members to the meeting.  Fr. Kevin conducted the election and guided the ward members to choose candidates between the ages of 25-65 years. Mrs. Elizabeth Pereira was elected with maximum votes by 25 members of the ward. Fr. Kevin and ward members congratulated the newly elected Gurkar and expressed their gratitude towards Mr. Valerian for his selfless service during his tenure.

Mrs. Elizabeth Pereira took oath as the New Gurkar of Landlinks Ward on the following Sunday, during the 7 am Holy Mass on 24 November, 2024.
