Kottara Ward Celebrates Nativity: Relishes Monthi Festh Delicacies as a Family

The members of Kottara ward celebrated Nativity Feast on 15 September  2024 at the residence  of Mr. & Mrs.Ronald Aileen Pinto. The celebration was preceded by the ward meeting at 4:30 PM. Mr. Michael Dsilva, the ward gurkar, extended a warm welcome to all the ward members. The ward members then offered flowers to Mother Mary and sang hymns. After that, all the ward members drank the roce mixed with new corn in a traditional way. All the members participated with great devotion. 
Later, Mrs. Dinha Dsilva made two groups and conducted a quiz related to Mother Mary and to recite Mary's hymns. A skit was performed by the ward members.
The ward then proceeded to have the Monthi Fest fellowship meal with 7 different types of dishes that they themselves had prepared in order to relish it with their fellow ward members. The gurkar then thanked everyone for their support and for the food prepared by them.
A total of 54 members were present for the Monthi Fest Celebration at Kottara ward.
