Konchady and Konchady 1 Ward Picnic 2023

On the 18th of February, 2023, Konchady and Konchady 1 ward members had gone on a one day picnic to John's Water World, Karkala. A total of 47 members from both the wards gathered near the Derebail Church Jubilee Hall at 8:00 AM. A short prayer before the journey was led by Rev. Fr Joseph Martis, Parish Priest.

On the way to the picnic spot, the members sang various konkani songs. Breakfast was arranged at the picnic spot.

To begin with a short prayer with Bible reading, followed by ward meeting was conducted by Mrs Sheela Dsouza. Soon after the meeting a short birthday celebration by cutting the birthday cake was held for those ward members born in the month of February. Thereafter, Mrs Leera Mascarenhas conducted a few games. Mrs Felcy Fernandes conducted the Housie-Housie and prizes were distributed by the senior most ward members Mrs Alfreda Carlo to the winners. During the games a few home made snacks prepared by the ward members were distributed.

Post lunch the members had a wonderful time playing in the pool and going through different water slides. A few of them also learnt how to swim. In the evening the ward members had gone to Tannirbhavi beach to watch the beautiful sunset.

The one day picnic concluded with a feedback session and Mr Stanislaus Crasta proposed the vote of thanks.
