Konchady 1 Ward Members Relish Monsoon Delicacies: Pavsa Gammath, 2023

The members of Konchady 1st Ward gathered for their ward meeting and Pavsa Gammath celebration on 23 July, 2023 at 5.30 PM at Mr.Sunil and Mrs.Gracy DSouza's residence. The dignitaries present included Mrs.Benny Dcunha, the Gurkar; Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis, the Parish Priest; Bro.Loywin Rodrigues; and Mrs. Sheela Dsouza, the Parish Council vice president.

Mrs. Gracy Dsouza welcomed everyone to the Ward Meeting. Mrs. Benny Dcunha led the meeting. There were 34 ward members present at the meeting (elders and children included).

Fr. Joseph Martis said the grace before meals and wished God's blessings on all the ward members' families.

Following the ward meeting, the members celebrated Pavsa Gammath, where everyone enjoyed seasonal monsoon delicacies. The ward members prepared approximately 27 dishes in their respective homes, which were served at the gathering.

Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis appreciated and congratulated the ward members for organising such an event.

As it rained outside, the ward members concluded the evening by singing several Konkani songs about monsoons.

The event brought joy and smiles to everyone's faces.
