Khadjahithlu Ward Celebrates Nativity of Mother Mary

The members of Khadjahithlu ward celebrate the feast of Nativity and to mark the occasion have a fellowship meal as one family on 24 September, 2023. 

The ward members assembled at Mrs.Vinolia and Mr.Jason Rodrigues' residence. To begin with, the ward members sang "Moriyek Hogolsiyan" and honoured the statue of Infant Mary with flowers. The Gurkar Mr.Rakesh Dcunha welcomed the gathering. The Parish Priest Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis along with the Sisters of St.Anns convent were the dignitaries who graced the occasion.

Rev.Fr.Joseph lead the prayer after which the Blessed corn was put in milk and the ward members savoured the same.

Ms.Rachelle D'cunha entertained the ward members with her dance. 
Ms.Daphney organized games.  Mr.Vincent Rebello conducted Housie Housie. Mrs.Reshma Lasrado extended words of gratitude through Vote of thanks.

This was followed by the fellowship meal. This meal comprised various dishes that have traditionally been a part of the Nativity Celebration in Mangalore.   The responsibility of cooking these dishes was shouldered by different ward members.
