Gollachil Ward's Grand Celebration of Monthi Feast 

After  having celebrated the Nativity feast with their respective families on the 8th of September, the members of Gollachil Ward came together to celebrate the Nativity feast on 14 th September 2025 at the Banquet hall. The programme commenced at  6.30 pm. 

The Gurkar of Gollachil ward, Mr. Arun Pinto, welcomed the dignitaries. The Associate Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris, Former Associate Parish Priest of Derebail and Director of Kripa Sadhana Bajpe Rev. Fr. Kevin Dsouza, PPC Vice-President Mrs. Sheela Dsouza, Secretary Mr.Denzil Pinto, Coordinator of 21 Commissions Mr. Anil Patrao, Superior of St Ann's Convent Sr. Juliana Tellis and the community of Sisters graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.

The programme commenced by invoking God's Blessings with a prayer led by the children of the ward.

Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris inaugurated the programme and delivered the inaugural address.

Rev. Fr. Kevin Dsouza, the Chief Guest for the evening addressed the gathering and spoke on the importance of ward gatherings. He acknowledged the active presence of Gollachil Ward in church activities and appreciated the talents of the young and the old in the ward. Mrs. Sheela Dsouza also addressed the gathering and appreciated the ward for their efforts.

Mrs. Jacintha Mascarenhas from Gollachil ward recited a beautiful poem on Nativity feast celebration in the ward.
The Gurkar welcomed  two new families who joined the ward recently. Two Senior most members of the ward were felicitated for their support.

Spot games and Housie Housie were conducted. The winners were congratulated.
Mr. Gavin Menezes presented a foot-tapping konkani song.

 Mrs. Wilma Fernandes delivered the vote of thanks
A scintillating konkani dance was performed by the dynamic women of the ward.

A commedy skit "Bomb  in Gollachil" was presented by Mr. Alwyn Quadras, Mr. Arun Pinto and Mr. Lawrence Lobo. 

The highlight of the evening was the fellowship meal that the ward members had with the dignitaries. Each delicacy that was served during the meal was cooked by the individual members of the ward. This sumptuous meal was served to all present.
