Faith in Action: Bejai Ward Children Lead Zammath and Service Activity

The monthly ward meeting at Bejai ward was held on 14th June 2026 at the residence of Mr Brian and Mrs Veena Pinto. Alma Pinto cordially welcomed everyone to the meeting. 

This zammath marked a milestone as it was led by the children of the ward.Sancia Dcunha acted as the Prerak for the meeting, while  Coral Rego led the prayer service. Reina Sequeira and Alma Pinto then led the Samudhayeche Geeth- " Wadya Zamathenth Bosuyan." The Word of God was chosen from the Gospel of John 6: 51- 58 and was beautifully read by Melissa Aranha and Glisten Vas. The children and youth offered their personal prayers with great devotion. 

The next section of the meeting was led by the Gurkar Mrs Veena Pinto, who also presented the minutes of the previous month's meeting. The report was approved by the ward members present. 

The sisters of St Anns Convent graced the occasion with their presence and participated whole heartedly in the day's events. 

Refreshments were served towards the end of the ward meeting.

The ward meeting was followed by a service activity, where the ward members visited Kapikad Chinnara Dhama and distributed stationary. 

Truly, the act of encouraging little children and the youth take initiative in the ward meeting brought a sense of reassurance towards the strong future of the Catholic Church. 

 A total of 16 children  and youth and 13 elders were present for the ward meeting
