CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION AT KINDERJOY KINDERGARTEN SCHOOL

On the Christmas Eve that is., 24th December, to share the joy of Christmas, the Parapade Upper Ward members organized Christmas Carol Singing at Kinderjoy Kindergarten School, Malemar. A group of 20 ward members reached the kindergarten at 10:30 am. The 55 students of the kindergarten, teachers and few parents were present at the venue.                                     
The little children, along with their teachers and parents welcomed the team joyfully. The ice breaking was done by dancing with the little ones as the school management played few Christmas tunes. The excitement of the kids reached its zenith when they saw the Santa Claus making his way towards them. Mr. Stephen Dsouza disguised himself as Santa Claus and distributed chocolates to the tiny tots. 
Thereafter, the teachers escorted the group to the hall, along with their students. After the students had seated in the hall, Mrs. Remy Alvares gave a brief introduction addressing the tots about Christmas. Subsequently, varied repertoire of carols in Konkani, English and Kannada was performed. A visualization of Jesus’ birth was presented through the live crib with Shaina Veigas and Riyanna Rodrigues portraying the characters of Mother Mary and St. Joseph respectively. Alongside were the angels Samaira, Samantha and Princia, and the Shepherds Shavin and Jeethan, augmenting the charm of the dais through their dance.
After the performance, the caroling team spent some time talking and playing with the children and distributed oranges to them. 
The ward members were later served with cake and juice by the kindergarten school management. 
Overall, it was indeed a pleasant experience for the ward members as well as the little children at Kinderjoy Kindergarten School, along with their teachers and parents. The children belonging to different communities were delighted as they embodied the essence of Christmas with the ward members.
