Adoration of the Cross and Passion of Christ at Kadjahithlu Ward

On the 27th of March 2022, at 4 p.m., the Kadjahithlu Ward of Derebail Parish conducted a 'ADORATION OF THE CROSS AND PASSION OF CHRIST' in Mr.Vincent Rebello's home.
Mr.Rakesh Dcunha, the gurkar, and Mr.Vincent Rebello, the prayer meet's host, greeted everyone warmly. Rev.Fr. Anush Dcunha and Rev.Fr.Gerald graced the day with their presence.
Mrs. Lavina Lobo led hymns and cross adoration, and Mrs. Lilly Lasrado and Mrs.Reshma Lasrado led The Way Of The Cross.
Mr. Sudesh, Mr.Rakesh, and Mrs. Celine read The Passion of the Christ.
Then Rev.Fr. Anush Dcunha gave a lovely homily emphasising Jesus' sacrifices for us through many real-life stories and how we often think of our losses and grievances. He also described Mary's anguish as her only son was crucified on the cross. He went on to explain how the Cross has changed over time from being a symbol of death and disgrace to one of power, grace, and strength. After then, the Cross was blessed.
With a note of gratitude, Mr.Rakesh Dcunha concluded. As a symbol of their appreciation Mr. Vincent Rebello presented Rev.Fr.Anush with a souvenir. Refreshments were sponsored by Mr.Oswald Lasrado and his family were served to all. The Ward members gathered in large numbers making the event a huge success.
