Sacrament of First Holy Communion - 7th May 2017 Back

Every year on the first Sunday of May, the children of the parish receive their First Holy Communion. On the 7th of May, 2017 about 22 children welcomed Jesus into their hearts in the form of Bread and Wine. The ceremony was conducted during the 9.15 AM children's mass. Rev.Fr.Austin Peres concelebrated the mass with Fr.Gratian Alvares, Fr.Walter Pinto and Fr.Melwyn D'souza from Fr Mullers Hospital. The entire liturgy was carried out by the communicants. Also, a hymn was sung by the communicants just before receiving Jesus into their hearts.

Mrs.Dora D'cunha and Mrs.Pramila Furtado were honoured with a memento for preparing the little one's for this great day. Their service was appreciated as they trained and prepared the children for their special day through Catechism classes.
