Rev. Fr. Kevin Lawrence Dsouza Begins New Role at Kripa Sadhana, Bids Adieu to Derebail Parishioners

After having spent two fruitful years as the Assistant Parish Priest at Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail, Rev. Fr. Kevin Lawrence Dsouza assumed charge as the Director at Kripa Sadhana, Minor Seminary Bajpe, on Monday, 2 June 2025. The parishioners of Derebail Church assembled at the Church premises at 4.00 PM to bid adieu and accompany him to his new mission. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris, Principal of Lourdes Central School Rev. Fr. Johnson led a short prayer service before setting forth on their journey to Bajpe with Fr. Kevin Dsouza. 

As a mark of gratitude and respect many parishioners then accompanied Fr. Kevin to  Bajpe. The Vice President of PPC Mrs Sheela Dsouza, Secretary Mr. Denzil Pinto and Coordinator of 21 Commissions Mr. Anil Patrao were among the dignitaries who escorted  Fr. Kevin.

On his arrival at the Minor Seminary Fr. Kevin was accorded a floral welcome by the Directory of Kripa Sadhana Rev. Fr. Vincent Dsouza. The Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese Msgr Maxim Noronha, Parish Priest of Bajpe Rev. Fr. Andrew Dsouza, Chaplain of St John Paul II Shrine Bajpe Rev. Fr. Jesudas Dcosta, Dean of the Varado Rev. Fr. Rudolph Ravi Dsa and other dignitaries welcomed Fr. Kevin.

Fr. Kevin read the Words of God and Fr. Mukthi Prakash led a short prayer. 

It was truly a joyous moment to witness Fr. Kevin assume his new role as the Director of Kripa Sadhana, while the parishioners wished him success on his new journey. 

Fr. Kevin rendered the vote of thanks at the end of the ceremony.
