Parish Feast of the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail Celebrated with Devotion and Joy

The parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail celebrated their Parish Feast on 9th November 2025. The festal Mass was held at 9:00 a.m with Rev. Fr. Kevin D’Souza, former Associate Parish Priest of Derebail and the current Director of Kripa Sadhana, Bajpe, as the main celebrant.

The celebration was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris, Associate Parish Priest, along with Rev. Fr. Praveen Saldanha, Rev. Fr. Rajesh Rosario, Rev. Fr. Felix Monteiro, Rev. Fr. Harry D’Souza, Rev. Fr. Gerald Pinto, Rev. Fr. John Pinto and Rev. Fr. Sylvester.

In his homily, Fr. Kevin D’Souza reflected on the theme of God’s dwelling among us, spiritual renewal, and the sacredness of the Church. He reminded the faithful that each one of us is a temple of God and urged everyone to build their lives carefully and live reverently, allowing God’s presence to shine through.

The solemn singing of the parish choir added to the devotion to the entire liturgy, enhancing the festive spirit.

Before the recessional hymn, Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis extended his heartfelt festal greetings to all parishioners. He expressed gratitude to everyone who has dedicated their time, talent, and service to the Church throughout the year. Mudhom candles were distributed to all those who contributed towards the Parish Feast expenses.

After the concluding hymn, the parishioners exchanged festal greetings and got into the rhythm of the celebratory brass band. The various stalls in the church premises added to the festive mood. The draws for the rooster and ice cream, organized by the CLC and ICYM, added to the excitement of the celebration. The event concluded on a joyful note as Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris emerged as the winner of the ice cream draw, bringing smiles all around.
