Mission Sunday 2025

Mission Sunday is a day where Catholics uphold one of the most important virtues of the church which is the call “to give.” Embracing this year’s theme “Missionaries of Hope Among the Peoples”, the parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church, worked together to organize Mission Sunday on 18th and 19th October 2025. With the goal of supporting the territories where the Church is young or struggling, the parish community set-up stalls in the Church premises. The preparations for the same began from 17th October with parishioners gathering in homes and at the parish hall to prepare an array of delicacies for the event. Members of various organizations and wards enthusiastically set up food and game stalls, each with an aim to offer treat and entertainment for the parishioners.

The Mission Sunday celebrations commenced after the 5 PM mass on Saturday, 18th October 2025. Following the morning masses on Sunday, the mood of Mission Sunday continued with the same viguor and zeal. Throughout the day, food and beverage counters remained open, offering opportunities for fellowship and strengthening of community bonds. The lucky draw for the rooster, its auction along with other items kept the church premises vibrant and full of life on both the days. The celebration truly reflected the parish’s unity, generosity, and missionary spirit, living out the message of hope and love in action.
