Maundy Thursday Celebration, 2022

Maundy Thursday celebrations at Holy Redeemer Church Derebail began at 6:30 pm with a solemn mass. Rev.Fr Ronald Serrao  rector of St.Joseph Seminary celebrated the mass alongside Rev.Fr.Austin Peter Peres Parish priest and Rev.Fr.Gerald Pinto Residential priest. In the homily Rev.Fr.Ronald Serrao preached about three important aspects of Holy Thursday: The Eucharist, The sacrament of ordination/priesthood and the new sacrament to love one another.
After the homily  Rev.Fr Ronald washed the feet of  twelve apostles.
Followed by this, The Ministers of the Holy Eucharist took their vows before the altar. After the Holy communion, The host was  placed at the repose altar followed by that holy hour and adoration was conducted by Rev.Fr.Gerald Pinto. The church choir added their melodies to the celebration.
