Inauguration of The Year of the Family at Most Holy Redeemer Church

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Mangalore under the able leadership of Most Rev. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop is all set to dedicate 2023 as the Family Year. With the goal of revitalizing and reshaping Christian Families under the theme "Humane Family: Hope of the Future", the Bishop of Mangalore declared 2023 to be the "Year of the Family". The announcement was made by the Bishop at the completiton of the Diocesan Eucharistic Procession held on the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord on January 08, 2023 in Our Lady Holy Rosary Cathedral, Mangaluru.

Most Holy Redeemer Church in association with the Family Welfare Commission symbolically inaugurated the "Year of the Family" on Sunday, 12 February 2023 at 7AM. The Parish Priest Rev.Fr. Joseph Martis, Rev.Fr. Gerald Pinto, Vice President Mrs. Sheela D'Souza , Secretary Mr.Denzil Pinto, Family Welfare Commission Head Mr.Cyprian D'Souza along with a family unveiled the logo for the family year.

Considering the vitality of the family as one among the important pillars of the Catholic Church, this year looks forward to strengthening families and thereby enhancing their role within the Church. The inauguration was followed by Holy Mass
