Healthy Connections: Meeting with Health Professions

The Commission for Health in Derebail Parish hosted a memorable meeting for Health Professionals on Sunday, 25 August 2024. The event commenced with the symbolic lighting of the lamp to invoke divine blessings. The ceremony was graciously led by the Parish Priest Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis, Asst Parish Priest Rev.Fr.Kevin Dsouza, Resource Person Dr.Priyatham Kamath, PPC Vice President Mrs. Sheela Dsouza, PPC Secretary Mr. Denzil Pinto, 21 Commissions Convenor Mr.Anil Patrao, Health Commission Convenor Dr.Alfreeda Pinto and the Convenor of the programme Mrs. Laveena  Lydia Lobo.

Mrs. Laveena Lydia Lobo welcomed the gathering. Fr. Joseph Martis inspired the audience to contribute to the church and community. Dr. Priyatham Kamath delivered an insightful talk on stress management, emphasizing the importance of work and family life balance through prioritisation of tasks and holding strong faith in God. The Interaction session was then conducted by Fr.Kevin D'Souza who encouraged health professionals to be ready to assist within the parish and ward when needed. 

The programme was uplifted by Mr.Sheldon Crasta, the Master of Ceremony, who engaged the audience with games and activities, adding a lively and entertaining touch to the event. 

The event saw many health professionals willing to offer their assistance and services, especially through arrangement of appointment with doctors. 

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mrs. Enita Rodrigues, who expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries and attendees.
