Good Friday Ceremony at Most Holy Redeemer Church, Derebail

Good Friday Ceremony at Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail began at 5:30 pm at the Holy Family School Grounds. The service consisted of four parts namely Liturgy of the Word of God , Solemn intercessions ,Veneration of the Holy Cross and Holy Communion.

In his preaching Rev.Fr Lancy Lewis OCD, Seminarian Incharge at Carmel Hill Bikarnakatte reflected on important events that took place on Good Friday- Primarily, the blood of Christ. He said, it is through the blood of Christ that we were salvaged from our sins. By dying on the cross He delivered us from all our transgressions.As true Christians he called upon everyone to remain faithful to Christ and work endlessly in spreading His mission.

The statues of the Body of Christ and Mother of Sorrows were brought to the altar at the end of the ceremony, where the faithful devotedly prayed in reverence.

The solemnity of the ceremony was maintained throughout by the melodies of Church Choir.

The Good Friday service ended peacefully giving each one a chance to repent their sins and live a life pleasing to God.
