Felicitation of Mrs.Mary Ram Vas at Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail

On the occasion of having completed half a century in her career as a nurse , Mrs. Mary Ram Vas was felicitated after the 6.15 a.m. mass on the 1st of February, 2022.  

Mrs.Mary Ram Vas' life is a testimony to what Swami Vivekananda once rightly remarked, " Service of mankind is service to God." In her selfless service of providing nursing and care to innumerable patients in the last 50 years , she has touched the hearts of many and has therefore served the Lord. Besides, she has served the Church by taking charge of the liturgy of the early morning 6.15 a.m. mass for the past three decades. 

As a token of appreciation and gratitude, the Parish Priest Rev.Fr. Austin Peres along with the Vice President Mrs. Sheela D'Souza and a few others felicitated Mrs. Mary Ram Vas. The Parish Priest congratulated Mrs. Mary and acknowledged her role in the Church. Mrs. Sheela D'Souza extended her gratitude to Mrs.Mary Vas for helping the parishioners who needed assistance for various medical reasons. 

Mrs. Mary Vas was then felicitated by the Parish Priest with a shawl and by Mrs. Sheela with a garland. Sr. Bernice honoured Mrs. Mary with the Mysore Peta. Mr. Arun, Gurkar of Gollachil Ward presented Mrs. Mary with a plant and Mrs. Lynsha gave her a lamp. 

Mrs. Mary Vas was overwhelmed with this warm gesture. She humbly thanked each and everyone for showering her with their respect and love.

The parishioners then congratulated her with a song. It is indeed an achievement that Mrs. Mary Vas continues her service post- retirement at Vinaya Hospital and Research Centre, Mangalore.

Breakfast was then served to all present.

Derebail Parish congratulates Mrs. Mary Ram Vas and wishes her many more fruitful years in her nursing career.
