Eye Check-up Camp Back

The Lions club Mangalore, Valencia along with The Most Holy Redeemers Church, Youth CLC Unit Derebail, had organized a free eye checkup camp on Sunday, 5^th of February 2017 at the Church hall, in association with Father Mullers Medical College Hospital, Kankanady Mangaluru. The camp began at 9:00am. A team of 8 members conducted the camp.

Inaugural programme began at 10:45am which comprised of  the lamp lighting ceremony. Mr.Denzil Pinto, President - Youth CLC, welcomed the gathering, followed by message from Rev.Fr.Austin Peres. Presidential address was given by Mrs.Sumalatha Suvarna ,President Lions Club Valencia followed by Dr.May Dsouza,  who  addressed the gathering. Ms.Adriel Quadros Secretary of Youth CLC, compered the inaugural programme.  Ms.Joslin D’cunha, member of Youth CLC, delivered the vote of thanks. 

The main sponsor for the camp was Mr.Naveen Chandra Suvarna, proprietor of Jyothi Constructions. Mr.Ronald Colaco, proprietor of vision world, distributed 103 spectacles. Around 130 people attended the camp. The camp concluded with lunch for the members around 1:30pm.
