Derebail Parishioners Participate in the Annual Retreat, 2022

Most Holy Redeemer Church conducts a retreat every year for its parishioners. The retreat is held during the Lenten Season in order to help the devotees to prepare themselves spiritually for Easter. The annual retreat for this year was held from the 4th to the 6th of April.

 Retreat is a term used to describe a period of time spent away from one's normal life in order to reconnect with God, usually through prayer. Rev. Fr Maxim D'Souza was the retreat's preacher.Fr. Maxim focused on a different theme each day of the retreat, which helped in the development of inner spiritual energy in order to live a committed Christian life. He spoke about prayer, alms giving, and fasting on the first day. The next day, he focused on forgiveness. He described what Eucharist is and what it means on the final day. Every day, there was a Eucharistic service followed by Holy Adoration.
Rev.Fr. Austin Peres concluded the retreat with a thanksgiving word. He also expressed gratitude to Joe, the musician, and the chorus members. Finally, he expressed his gratitude to all the devotees who took part in the retreat.
