Derebail Parish Commemorates Rev. Fr. Joseph Lobo's 10 Death Anniversary 

The tenth death anniversary of Late Rev. Fr. Joseph Lobo was solemnly observed on 6th October at 5:30 p.m. with a concelebrated Holy Mass offered in his loving memory. The Eucharistic celebration was conducted with deep reverence and devotion, attended by priests, parishioners, relatives, and well-wishers who gathered to pay their heartfelt tribute to the late priest for his exemplary service and spiritual guidance.

Rev. Fr. Anil Lobo was the main celebrant of the Holy Eucharist, joined by Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Rev. Fr. Kevin D’Souza, and Rev. Fr. Nelson Peris as concelebrants. During the celebration, prayers of thanksgiving were offered for the fruitful life and priestly ministry of Fr. Joseph Lobo, who is fondly remembered for his humility, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the Church.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Kevin D’Souza reflected on the late priest’s exemplary life, highlighting his deep faith, simplicity, and tireless commitment to serving God and His people. The choir enriched the solemnity of the liturgy with melodious hymns, fostering an atmosphere of prayerful reflection. The faithful actively participated in the mass, expressing their affection and respect for their beloved former pastor.

Following the Mass, the congregation proceeded to the cemetery, where special prayers were offered at the tomb of Fr. Joseph Lobo. The priests, along with the faithful, prayed for the repose of his soul and expressed gratitude to God for the many blessings bestowed through his ministry.

The observance was a moving tribute to Fr. Joseph Lobo’s enduring legacy and his invaluable contributions to the parish and the wider community. His life and ministry continue to inspire all who knew him, serving as a lasting example of faith, dedication, and selfless service.
