Christmas Celebrations 2015 Back

"And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:9-14)

The birthday of our Lord was celebrated with glory and devotion here in the parish of Derebail. The celebration began with the Christmas Carol lead by the Children's choir group and followed by the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration. Rev Fr Anil Lobo,  the Asst Parish Priest presided over the Eucharist. Rev Fr Vincent Menezes, administrator of the parish preached the homily.  Rev Fr Walter, the retired priest of our parish con celebrated. Over  2000 people attended the mass. After the mass some games, auctions and entertainment program were conducted by YSD and doubled the season's joy.
