Cancer Awareness Programme - Catholic Sabha, Mangalore Back

Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh (R), Derebail Unit conducted Cancer Awareness Camp on 21.07.2019 at 10.30 A.M. at Derebail Church Residence Hall. 
Dr Vishwanath Sherrigar, Surgical Oncologist, A. J. Hospital and Research Centre, Mangalore, Parish Priest Fr. Austin Peris, Resident Priest Fr.Gratian Alvares, Vice President of Derebail Parish Mr Edward Coelho, Mrs Juliet Dsilva, President of Catholic Sabha, Mrs.Dora Dcunha, Secretary CS and Programme Co-ordinator Mr.Ronald Rodrigues were on the dais. 
Mrs.Juliet DSilva welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Austin Peris gave a brief introduction to the programme, Mr.Robert DSilva introduced the Resource Person. 

Dr Vishwanath Sherrigar briefed about the warning signs, causes and types of cancer. He also explained precautions to be taken to avoid cancer. The participants had queries to which Dr Vishwanath answered citing examples from his experience with dealing with his patients' cases.

The programme was compered by Mrs Pramila Furtado. The Catholic Sabha Secretary gave the Vote of Thanks.

The Cancer Awareness Programme was well received by the participants. The session was indeed fruitful.
