ARISE - 2023
 

Arise, a youth retreat led by Jesus Youth, was organised by Yuva Spandan Derebail in collaboration with the Youth Commission of Derebail Parish. Breakfast and registration for the youth marked the start of the day as it began at 8:00 AM in the Derebail church hall. At 9:00AM the programme commenced with the inauguration of the Retreat. Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Parish priest of Most Holy Redeemer church, Derebail, Fr. Gerald Pinto, Mrs. Sheela Dsouza, the vice president of Parish council, Mr. Denzil Pinto, Secretary of Parish Council, Mr. Edward Coelho, 21 commission coordinator, Mr. Jeethan Castelino, Youth commission Conveynor, Mrs. Lizzie Fernandes, Animator of YSD-ICYM, Mr. Brayan Dias, Coordinator of Jesus Youth, Mangalore, Ms. Dallies Fernandes, Vice President of YSD- ICYM  were present for the inaugural ceremony as dignitaries. Later Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Kenneth, Chaplain of Jesus Youth, Mangalore. There were various touching real life testimonies and preaching. Later there was Eucharistic adoration which made the youth more closer to God. The Music ministry of Jesus Youth helped the youth in singing praises to God through Hymns. The retreat ended  with a session on Jesus Youth movement and their missionaries. A total of 155 youth were present for the retreat.
