62 youth receive the Sacrament of Confirmation Derebail Parish.

The Confirmation ceremony was held on 26-10-2020 at Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail. 62 youngsters of the parish were conferred the sacrament of confirmation by the Bishop of Mangalore Most. Rev Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha. The ceremony began at 5:00 pm with the formal welcome of Most. Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore diocese. Rev. Fr Austin Peter Peris Parish priest welcomed him with a garland, followed by which the Parish Pastoral Council Vice President Mrs. Sheela D'Souza offered a bouquet of flowers. The Bishop interacted with the recipients of the Sacrament for awhile. This was followed by a Solemn Mass which was concelebrated by Parish priest Rev. Fr. Austin Peter Peres and Resident priestRev. Fr Gerald Pinto. In his homily, Bishop highlighted the true essence of receiving the sacrament of Confirmation, called upon to boldly to profess the name of Christ. He cited examples of a few martyrs.

The entire ceremony was glorified by the melodies sung by Church Choir. Certificates were distributed towards the end of the mass. Refreshments were served to all the recipients at the end of the programme.
