YUVA SPANDAN  DEREBAIL  NASYA PAVSANTH  (A RAIN AND WATER GAMES  FIESTA )

YSD-ICYM Derebail organized “NASYA PAVSANTH - A RAIN AND WATER GAMES FIESTA” on 24th August 2025, from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
The grand evening began with a warm welcome, where YSD-ICYM President Evangel Menezes and Secretary Lester Lobo invited the dignitaries on stage. The special guests included Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis (Director), Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris (Assistant Director), Brother Augustine, Mrs. Sheela Dsouza (Vice-President, Parish Pastoral Council), Mr. Denzil Pinto (Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council), and Mr. Anil Patrao (21 Commission Chairperson) and Mrs. Tina Menezes( Animator). The event was also graced by the presence of Mr. Rayan Lobo, Secretary, City Deanery.
 
The programme was inaugurated with the unveiling of the official poster by the Director, followed by a floral welcome to all dignitaries. The event was beautifully led by Lenn Sequeira and Deona Dsouza, who kept the audience engaged throughout the programme with their lively hosting. The highlight of the evening was the wide range of fun-filled games and activities organized for every age group. In total, eight exciting games were conducted and was followed by a spot game. The competitive spirit combined with joy and togetherness made it a delightful sight.
 
MC Sheldon Crasta took over the event as the host and one of the most engaging attractions of the event was the grand auction, which drew a huge crowd and created a festive buzz. Adding more charm were the variety of food stalls catering to different taste buds of the parishioners. The delicacies comprised mouth- watering dukramas and idli, shawarma,  kebab , mojito , tea,coffee and cupcakes ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. In total, 27 wards took part in the celebration and each ward had to pay a registration fees of rupees 500/- in order to participate in the events.  Support was also extended by Yuva Mitran from the City Deanery, who assisted in judging the competitions.
 
As the evening progressed, the winners were honored with medals and prizes, and the moment of pride came when the “Gollachil Ward” was crowned the Overall Champions. The event concluded on a high note with parishioners dancing their hearts out during baila by DJ Shawnal Mascarenhas, which brought about an energetic and joyful end to the celebration.
 
NASYA PAVSANTH was not just a fun-filled event, but also a reflection of unity and teamwork. It brought together parishioners of all ages under one roof, strengthening the bonds of friendship and faith while leaving behind cherished memories.
