YSD-ICYM Conducts Wreath Making Competition

YSD–ICYM Derebail joyfully conducted a Wreath Making Competition on 21st December, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 10 wards, with each team showcasing exceptional creativity, coordination, and the true festive spirit of Christmas.

The programme began with a prayer, followed by an explanation of the competition rules by Ms. Johanna Pereira. 

Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis addressed the gathering, motivating the participants and extending his warm wishes, which added inspiration and positivity to the event. Riyona Lobo formally introduced the judges, Ms. Alrene Shalma Fernandes and Mrs. Shanthi Karthikeya D’Sa. The judges thoughtfully and diligently assessed all the wreaths. After careful evaluation, the results were as follows:

1st Place: Parapade Hills
2nd Place: Kottara

A total of 12 dedicated volunteers worked behind the scenes to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the competition. Overall, the event was filled with lively participation, festive cheer, and a beautiful spirit of unity, making it a memorable celebration of the joy of Christmas.
