YSD Derebail Conducts Taize: A Special Prayer with Hymns and Contemplation by Candlelight

On the occasion of lent, Yuva Spandan Derebail organized a Taize prayer for all the parishioners on 14th March, 2024 at 6.30PM in the church. Rev.Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, Director of ICYM, Mangalore Diocese led the prayer. The event aimed to provide a space for spiritual reflection and meditation through the traditional practices of Taize prayer. The altar, adorned with glowing lamps, created a sacred atmosphere for worship. It helped people feel close to Jesus. The parishioners engaged wholeheartedly, embracing God’s blessings during this prayer. The voices of Derebail Youth choir team featured serene hymns and focused on the significance of the Holy cross.The serene ambiance of the church provided a sanctuary for those seeking solace and renewal amid the hustle of daily life.As the parishioners departed, they carried with them a renewed sense of closeness to Jesus, marking the beginning of a transformative Lenten journey for the community.
