Youth CLC – Nativity Feast Celebration

The Youth Christian Life Community (YCLC) came together on Sunday, 21st September 2025, at 6:30 PM to celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of Mother Mary. A total of 30 members were present. The traditional dress code for the evening added to the festive spirit.

The celebration began with a prayer dance, followed by a short prayer led by the members. Mr. Rovin D’Souza, YCLC President, warmly welcomed the dignitaries: Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris, and Rev. Fr. Gerald Pinto. He also extended a welcome to Mrs. Sheela D’Souza, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council; Mr. Denzil Pinto, Parish Council Secretary and YCLC Animator; Mr. Anil Patrao, Coordinator of 21 Commissions; Mr. Austin D’Souza; and all the members present.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis shared encouraging words, highlighting the unity of YCLC, appreciating the service rendered to the Church, and commending the active involvement of its members. He extended his blessings and best wishes for the group’s mission. Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris also shared his words of encouragement, expressing his joy in seeing the youth gather together in faith and fellowship.

The evening continued with a lively dance performance by the members, followed by fun games conducted by Jovita Rodrigues and Shawn Pinto, which kept the gathering cheerful and filled with laughter.

Later, members came forward to share their thoughts, experiences, and feedback on the celebration. They also suggested ideas to make future events even more fruitful and memorable.

The highlight of the evening was the Festal Fellowship Meal, blessed by Rev. Fr. Gerald Pinto. The meal, lovingly prepared in the kitchens of different members and shared together, became a beautiful expression of unity and joy. Everyone sat together as one family, relishing the delicious dishes and cherishing the spirit of togetherness.

The programme was compered by Melrisha Quadros. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Anish D'Souza, YCLC Consulter, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to making the evening a memorable one.
