YCLC Activity – A Fun Evening

Youth CLC Derebail organized an event for its members on the account of completing 10 years since the foundation of Youth CLC. A total of 24 members participated in the activities which were coordinated by Jane Dsilva and Merick Aranha.

The evening began with a round of refreshments for the members. This was followed by an Ice Breaking session where the members had a fun time getting to know everyone present there. Musical chair was conducted for the members adding to the fun. 

Then began the most awaited event for the day – Cooking Without Fire! A total of 11 teams consisting of 22 members were formed beforehand for the activity. The members had a duration of 1 hour to prepare the delicacies and give a funny name to the dishes prepared. The activity brought out the unique talents and enthusiasm while promoting team spirit. The spiritual director Fr. Joseph Martis along with Br. Augustine Paul visited the premises and encouraged all the participants. The dishes were judged based on the Presentation, Originality and the Flavors of the dish. Every participant had to come up with a unique name for the dishes prepared which was included in the judgement criteria. The judges for the event were the Animators of youth CLC Mr. Denzil Pinto, one of the founding members Mr. Leston Pinto and Mrs. Pranitha Pinto. The first prize was bagged by Cherish Pinto and Shaun Colaco, followed by the second winners Shawn Pinto and Rishith Dsouza, and the third prize was bagged by Rion Dsilva and Anvisha Dsouza. The judges gave away the prizes and also shared the evaluation of the competition along with their valuable insights for the future events to be conducted by the members. 

There were 4 groups formed for the next set of group activities. The members thoroughly enjoyed and were completely involved for all the 4 rounds. Animator Mr. Denzil Pinto distributed the prizes to the overall winners of the group activity.

The evening concluded with the president Rovin Dsouza thanking all the members along with the coordinators Jane Dsilva and Melrick Aranha for the wonderful organization of the event.
