VANAMAHOTSAV Celebration by YCS

Vanamahotsav was celebrated on 17th August 2025 during the YCS meeting in the presence of the Assistant Parish Priest Fr Steevan Nelson Peris and the animators Mr. Gladson Monteiro, Mr. Rohan Monis, Mrs. Jonita Monteiro, Mr. Lenn Sequeira and Ms Primal Furtado.

The members of YCS arrived dressed in shades of green, symbolizing the beauty and freshness of nature. As a mark of the occasion, the Executive Committee members, together with the priest, planted a sapling, signifying growth, sustainability, and care for the environment. Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris also delivered a short yet inspiring talk on the importance of protecting nature, nurturing trees, and building an eco-friendly future.

The celebration was further enriched with cell-wise activities conducted by the committee members. Various interactive games, creative challenges, and team-building activities filled the atmosphere with joy and enthusiasm. These activities not only entertained the youth but also highlighted the message of unity, responsibility, and love for nature.

The event concluded with a group photograph, capturing the vibrant spirit, smiling faces, and memorable moments of the day. The celebration served as a reminder that small steps like planting a sapling can make a big difference in preserving the environment for generations to come.
