St Cecelia's Feast: Choir Members Celebrate the Occasion 

On Saturday 22nd November, 2025, the choir members of Derebail Parish celebrated the Choir feast and presented a unique celebration.

The choir feast commenced with a soulful Eucharistic celebration at 5.00 pm led by the  Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis along with the melodious choir of the  Senior choir members.

After the Eucharistic celebration, the members of various choir groups assembled at the meeting hall. The programme commenced at 6.15 pm with a heartwarming get-together, marked by a prayer hymn by the youth and followed by a graceful welcome dance from the Children's choir

A formal stage programme unfolded, gracefully guided by Mrs. Lydia Dcosta,  the choir president, Miss Primal Furtado, the choir Secretary, Mr. Cyprian D'Souza, the choir Treasurer 

The esteemed guests on the dias were Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis ( Chief Guest), Rev. Fr. Nelson Peris( Asst. Parish Priest), Mrs. Sheela Dsouza( Vice President ppp), Mr. Anil Patrao( Co- ordinator of 21 Commission of PPC). The Choir President extended a warm welcome to all gathered. A floral welcome was offered to the dignitaries setting a warm tone for the evening including the guests on n off the dias. 
Brother Augustine Paav, Mr. Alwyn Carvalho, liturgy commission, Mr. Ephrem Castelino, Mr. Pratap, Mr. Prinson, The Choir Masters, musicians,  PPT members, other guests and Choir members.

The secretary presented an insightful Annual report of 2024-25. Mr. Cyprian D'Souza presented the detail overview of the annual accounts. 

Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis addressed the gathering, offering well wishes to the choir members and acknowledging the commendable efforts of the choir  groups and  also gave us the technique  to recite various notes.

The choir members, rocked the stage with captivating performances like singing, dancing and poetry recitation by the children, youth, men, women and senior choir members

The festive spirit continued with lively participation in interesting games conducted by MC Portia, creating an engaging atmosphere for all the members. 

Sr. Sunitha of St. Anns Convent said the grace before meals n blessed the members present.
Miss Primal Furtado rendered the vote of thanks. Miss Portia compered the entire programme. The beautiful backdrop was presented by Mrs. Sunitha Pinto with the help of the choir members.

To conclude the choir feast of 2025, was a harmonious symphony of spirituality and entertainment.
